SOUTH CHINA SEA ISSUE: Kerry urges China to stop activities in the South China Sea

South China Sea disputes strain became the focal point in discussions between the Secretary of State of the United States, John Kerry and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi.

Kerry said the United States will continue to urge China to cease activities in the South China Sea that caused concern throughout the region.

Washington criticized China as sea reclamation activities in addition to accelerate creating artificial island in seven Spratly Islands in the South China Sea.

Kerry told the counterpart of the 10 ASEAN member countries that he has meet with Wang Yi which result is overwhelming by looking at some current details of the encounter.

"We want to ensure the security of critical sea routes and fishing grounds other than to see that the disputes are managed peacefully spaces and based on international law.

"I am very hopeful that at meetings during today and tomorrow we'll find a way to move forward effectively and together," Kerry said during a speech to the opening of the ASEAN-United States Ministers.

In an opening address after meeting with Kerry, Wang Yi said China will continue the peace discussions in the South China Sea disputes.
However, he is not discussing the details of the meeting with Kerry.

Wang Yi described the prompts to cease activities in the South China Sea was unrealistic.
