2016 BUDGET ISSUE

2016 Budget presentation by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak faces ' budget in the box ', which is repeated and just made a little addition without elaborating on the macro problem.

Its Chairman, Datuk Dr Ismail Salleh says the same thing reposted and no renewal.

"Macro issues should be emphasized, namely, the failure of financial debt grew up more to 700 billion and a deficit RM41 billion," he said on the programme, organised by the Trust Mush Ashura Parliament Alor Setar and Kuala Kedah in Taman Wira Mergong, yesterday.

According to him, most of the problems that faced the country now is attributable to the incorrect governance, such as the issue of 1MDB.

"The implications of large, investors started to withdraw, declining monetary value, and if not addressed immediately can result in increased inflation in the long term. Should the matter that peeled but not touched directly, "he said.

Ismail said, on the other hand, the Prime Minister a lot more focus on adding BR1M of RM50, special payments to civil servants, individual tax relief, which is viewed as a cosmetic for obscure people.

"Suppose there needs to be a balance between macro and micro, including complete national economic and financial problems in advance," he said.

The Menteri besar of Selangor, says something disappointing when the budget is tabled today, notwithstanding the direct about the fall of the ringgit, which is the worst-affected currencies in Asia.

It also does not provide for measures to reduce Malaysia's dependence to oil or dealing with foreign reserves is decreasing in the country.

"The budget instead of making sure the arrangement sounds great and offers kudap-snack.

"Three essential elements in managing public finance must be addressed: accountability, transparency, and governance.

"This Budget has failed to show that the Government are serious about these issues," said Azmin, who is also Deputy President of the PARTY, in a statement today.

Azmin said the economy needs fiscal stimulus in the form of an expense greater private sector through increased investment spending and consumer spending.

But, he said, the budget tabled today contains only little effort stimulate investor confidence or raise consumer sentiment.

"Of stimulating economic growth, the budget may be reducing them instead."

He said the large increase in talk about Putrajaya collection of revenue from taxes on goods and services tax (GST) is not an achievement because the goal is not supposed to increase tax revenue, but to broaden the tax base and diversify the sources of income of the Government.

Azmin also said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak while presenting budget today "another stupid" when said opposition parties also support the GST.

"Defeating once again, a great burden of GST to wage the poor and simple.

"It bring more tax burden to ordinary people to fund the financial mismanagement made the leader," said Azmin.

He also gives some necessary measures according to conflict and does not benefit the people in the long run.

"For example, you give BR1M and it increased slightly this year, but at the same time, you increase the toll highway. How can glorify people?

"This is because the problem of inflation, which is essentially not addressed."

Other issues, said Azmin, such as rising household debt and affordable housing are not dealt with adequately in the budget, while environmental problems such as pollution haze is going taken lightly.
